Hoops For Hope

Danbury High School Students and Ability Beyond Disability will team up for the Third Annual “Hoops For Hope,” a wheelchair basketball tournament to raise funds and awareness about employment for people with disabilities. Local celebrities, elected officials and Danbury High faculty will join students from Danbury High, local business leaders and Board Members of Ability Beyond Disability in a game against the Connecticut Spokebenders – a professional wheelchair basketball team.

Celebrities will include: Danbury Mayor, Mark Boughton; Ridgefield First Selectman, Rudy Marconi; News-Times columnist, Brian Koonz; i95 disc jockey, Lou Milano; 105.5 disc jockey, Mr. Morning; and Ken Stein of ESPN will be the announcer and Dan Hopkins of 105.5 will be the Emcee.

The event will be held on Thursday, October 20th at 7:00PM at Danbury High School.  Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
