The Chris Coulter Quartet

Richter Association for the Arts invites you to hear


The Chris Coulter Quartet in a program of jazz/swing standards from the “Great American Songbook” plus a few surprises,  at Richter House on Sunday afternoon, May 26 at 3 p.m.  Saxophonist Chris Coulter, a lifelong Connecticut resident, has performed with jazz greats Clark Terry, Gerry Mulligan, Pepper Adams, Bob Brookmeyer, Slide Hampton, and Dave Weckl. He has recorded commercials, award winning children's videos, and also several CD's with local composer/pianist Rob Silvan. Chris currently performs with the Bales-Gitlin Band, The Rob Silvan Quintet, Steve D'Agostino, and his own group: The Chris Coulter Quartet.


Besides Mr. Coulter on the saxophone, the quartet includes Joe McWilliams on  piano, John Mobilio on bass, and Bob D’Angelo on drums.

On May 26, to honor the birthday of music legends Al Jolson, Miles Davis and Peggy Lee the group will feature some of their best known music and in addition, Chris will provide some history and amusing background about many of the numbers they will perform.
