Danbury, Ct. John Patrick, noted international lecturer and author of the best-selling Attitude books, brought his positively winning strategies and signature to enthusiastic fans at WSCU’s West side campus. Signing his “hot off the presses’ new book, Net Attitude, the fourth in the Attitude series, on how to optimize the net to make life simpler. Proceeds from the signing will benefit Housatonic Habitat for Humanity’s purchase of a truck to service the organization’s ReStore, a thrift warehouse in Danbury that sells to the public at a fraction of the cost of big box stores with all profits benefiting Habitat’s work in the community.

“This donation is the seed money to raise the $40,000 we desperately need for a new ReStore box truck, said Habitat’s Executive Director Fran Normann. “Our drivers pick up donated materials more than 200 days a year at homes and businesses in 600 plus locations. Little by little, our truck was spending more time in repair than on the road. When John and his wife, Joanne, heard of our need they launched this fundraising campaign to keep us'rolling'”

ReStore sells over $550,000 in donated product each year from its 10,000 square foot warehouse. Sales contribute to Housatonic Habitat’s ability to build workforce housing in the Greater Danbury area.
