Festive in Danbury: Farmers, Artists and Inventors Converge
The STEAM Fair, Art & Artists Festival and first Farmers' Market of the season will all hit downtown on Saturday.

DANBURY, CT -- The library’s STEAM Fair, the second annual Artists & Artisans Street Festival and the firdt farmers' market of the season will all be in full swing in Danbury's downtown on June 23.
Billed as a "A Celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Mathematics," the STEAM Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Danbury Library and Danbury Hackerspace. The expo will feature art, drones, inventors, animation, interactive demonstrations, 3D printing, robotics challenges and a mini food truck rally. In past years, the STEAM Fair has drawn between 3,000-4,000 attendees.
It will only be the second year for the Danbury Artists & Artisans Street Festival, which will run along Main Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Local and out of town artists and craftspeople will be selling their work, with no shortage of food trucks.

If you're of a mind to eat something fresher than truck fare, the first farmer's market of the summer will be open just a block away on the Green. Local growers will be selling far fresh foods from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market will return to the Green every Saturday thereafter through October 20.
