Foodies Get Ready for Saturday's Taste of Danbury

A dozen food vendors will converge upon City Center Danbury for Saturday's super-sized food fest. Live music and new kids vendors too!

City Center Danbury says goodbye to summer with bang, and a food festival that promises something for everyone.

A Taste of Danbury will take place on City Center green and organizers are expecting more than 15,000 hungry guests to show up for delicious food, great music and family fun. The festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 from noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 13 from noon to 7 p.m. Admission is free.

There will be over a dozen food vendors with food from Babu’s Jerk Joint, Brewster Pastry, Danbury Ice Arena, Delavinia’s Deli, El Sabor Ecuatoriano, Gallucchi’s Catering, Green Island Chicken & Grill, Hog Wild BBQ, Italian Ices of Connecticut, Mima’s Meatballs & More, Nick’s Restaurant & Catering, O’Deen’s BBQ, Paradise Foods, Romy’s BBQ, Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill, Thai Awesome, The Ice Cream Guy, Tri-Town Toys and Two Steps Downtown Grille.

Celebrating the music of Billy Joel, headliners Mike DelGuidice and Big Shot will take the stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday night and 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The Doug Wahlberg Band, country artist Tim Charron and Phil LoPresti will also perform.

Kids will love Curious Creatures, Stone Street Tye-Dye, Sand Art and Super Sized Inflatables.
