Gerosa Records Opens Its Doors

Iconic Brookfield Record Store Finally Reopens for In Store Business

Sept. 16, 2020-(BROOKFIELD, CT.) The owner of Gerosa Records wants you to know that he is happy to see all the familiar faces again, after almost 6 months of behind the scenes sales.
Although given the green light back in June to reopen, Gerosa chose to stick to online and curbside sales for another 2 months for the safety of his staff and his customers.

“Although it doesn’t feel like Black Friday yet, it does have the air of a reunion of sorts” says Brian Gerosa, owner of Gerosa Records. The 34 year old independent record store and Brookfield staple has been a favorite destination spot for loyal clientele of record enthusiasts and audiophiles for a very long time.

The Brookfield record store tested the waters on Record Store Day, Aug.29, and overwhelmed with the response from die-hard vinyl fans willing to wait patiently outside for their chance to browse and buy, are now offering limited hours of walk-in retail shopping as of Sept 3. Gerosa is back to doing business at a fast clip as loyal customers wait patiently outside for their chance to come in and explore “the goods”.
“It used to be we would only see lines like these on Record Store Day. Now we’re seeing them all the time!” says Gerosa.
For this year, Record Store Day events are being branded as “Record Store Drops” and there are 3 in the series. Aug. 29, and 2 upcoming dates: September 26 and October 24. Stay tuned for more info on these.
