Greater Danbury Irish Festival Returns This Weekend for Two Days of Irish Music, Culture, Food & Fun

DANBURY, CT —The Greater Danbury Irish Festival returns this weekend, Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, bringing two full days of Irish music, dance, culture, food, vendors, family entertainment and plenty of Irish hospitality to Danbury.

The festival will be held at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center, 6 Lake Avenue, Danbury, Connecticut, with the festivities beginning at 12:00 noon both days. Admission is free throughout the weekend.

Festival goers can enjoy a full lineup of live Irish music, Irish dancing, cultural demonstrations, entertainment, children's activities, vendors, food and refreshments. The 2026 entertainment schedule features a variety of Irish performers, along with bagpipes, traditional music and Irish dance.

The weekend is designed to offer something for everyone—from those celebrating their Irish heritage to anyone who simply enjoys great music, good food and a lively community festival.

Festival Hours

• Saturday, September 26: 12:00 noon–10:00 PM
• Sunday, September 27: 12:00 noon–6:00 PM

Free Parking Available

Free parking is available in the lower parking lot at the corner of Lake Avenue and Oil Mill Road. Festival goers are encouraged to use this lot when arriving for the event.

The festival is rain or shine. Outdoor activities and vendors will operate as conditions permit, with festival organizers making adjustments as necessary for weather and safety. In the event of strong winds, outdoor vendors may be moved indoors according to festival organizers.

Families are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Organized by the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Foundation, the festival celebrates Irish heritage and culture while bringing together the greater Danbury community for a weekend of music, friendship, food and fun.
