Housatonic Habitat receives gift from Ridgefield Thrift Shop

As they have for decades, members of the Ridgefield Thrift Shop once again demonstrated their support of Housatonic Habitat for Humanity with a donation toward its affordable housing mission. According to Ridgefield Thrift Shop’s President, “The Ridgefield Thrift Shop is thankful for Housatonic Habitat’s mission of building homes for qualified working families, which in turn helps strengthen our local communities and makes them a great place in which to live.” The Ridgefield Thrift Shop supports various organizations like Housatonic Habitat that impact the people of Ridgefield. Since 2012, Ridgefield Thrift Shop has donated $15,000 to Habitat alone.

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity is both a builder and a bank, building affordable homes for working families who might not qualify for a traditional mortgage. In addition, Housatonic Habitat provides home repairs for homeowners who are aging in place.
