Kettletown Park Beaches Expected to Remain Off Limits for Swimming

State environmental officials don't think the toxic algae bloom will clear up enough in time for the Labor Day weekend.

Don’t get your hopes up about swimming at Kettletown State Park over the Labor Day weekend.

According to the Danbury News Times, it is expected that the beaches will remain closed until after the holiday.

The beaches at Kettletown have been off limits for more than two weeks due to toxic algae blooms and officials don’t expect conditions to improve.
