Newtown Bridge Club Hosts Lessons for Aspiring Bridge Player
The Newtown Bridge Club will host 4 weeks of free lessons for aspiring bridge players on Mondays, 9:00 to 11:30 AM, at the EDMOND TOWN HALL, 45 Main Street, Newtown CT, beginning March 14, 2016. The 4th free lesson will be held on April 4, 2016.
“The Easybridge! lesson program offered at the club emphasizes fun and learning from playing. Beginners play in a game their first lesson,” said Georgeann Kishner who will present the lessons. “Players enjoy meeting others who are learning the game and many friendships are formed at the bridge table.”
The Easybridge!1 program is a 14-week series for beginners and players returning to bridge after some years. The format is a 20-25 minute lesson followed by two hours of play. Players are encouraged to come to the lessons alone or with friends. The first four weeks of lessons are free; starting at week 5, the cost is $12 per lesson. An optional textbook is available for $15. The final lesson will be given on June 8, 2016.
