Lincoln's Birthday/Presidents Day 2026 Impacts Announced In Danbury
Monday is Presidents Day, with towns and cities announcing multiple service impacts. Danbury offices are also closed on Thursday, Feb. 12.
DANBURY, CT — All non-essential city offices were closed Thursday, Feb. 12, for Lincoln's birthday, and the city is also marking the upcoming Presidents Day holiday weekend.
This Monday is Presidents Day, and several municipal impacts in town offices and schools have recently been announced.
In the City of Danbury, all municipal departments will be closedon Monday, Feb. 16, in observance of the holiday.

In addition, the Danbury Public Library, which was also closed for Lincoln's Birthday on Thursday, Feb. 12, will also be closed on Presidents Day, Monday, town officials said.
In Danbury schools, both Monday, Feb. 16, and Tuesday, Feb. 17, are days off for students, with schools closed for Winter Recess. School was in session on Lincoln's Birthday, Thursday, Feb. 12.
