Man, 83, Arrested In Cocaine Bust: Danbury PD

DANBURY, CT — An 83-year-old Danbury resident was arrested after police found about for ounces of cocaine during a search, according to police.

Juan Castano of Lawncrest Road was arrested March 15 after several months of investigation, said Lt. Mark Williams, police spokesman.

The cocaine, packaging materials, processing equipment and several hundred dollars of cash was seized after detectives obtained a search warrant.

He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell more than half an ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
