Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Danbury Woman He Met Online

The alleged sexual assault occurred last week.

A Shelton man was taken into custody for allegedly sexually assaulting a Danbury woman he met through an online dating website.

Police responded to a Danbury residence for a reported sexual assault on May 29.

The suspect was still on scene, police said. After speaking to both parties police placed Justin Lapke, 27 under custody.

Lapke was charged with first-degree sexual assault and released on a written promise to appear in court on June 5.
