Man Out On Parole Back In Jail After Danbury Drug Bust
The man lived in Waterbury and is believed to come to the Danbury area for the purpose of selling illicit drugs, according to police.

DANBURY, CT — Police arrested a Waterbury man, out on parole from CT State Corrections, after a weeks-long investigation into multiple complaints he was selling drugs throughout the Danbury area.
On Thursday, police began to search the areas known to be frequented by Taurean Coleman, 28, of Hawkins Street in Waterbury.
"While Coleman has ties to Danbury, he is living in Waterbury and believed to come to the Danbury area for the purpose of selling illicit drugs," said Lt. Mark Williams said in a release.

After locating Coleman, police set up surveillance until he entered a local North Street business and parked. Police then detained Coleman and another man, who had been his passenger. During a cursory search Coleman he was found to be in possession of a substantial quantity of crack cocaine and heroin packaged for sale, according to police. Illicit drugs were also found in his car.
Police arrested Coleman, who was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. He is being held for a cash bond pending arraignment or release. Coleman's passenger was released and neither arrested nor charged.

"As Coleman is currently on parole from CT State Corrections for previous criminal convictions, a remand to custody order was issued by the CT Department of Corrections.," Williams said.
