Manslaughter Charges Filed in Danbury Highway Crash That Killed a Brewster Woman
State police released details of the incident on Tuesday.

DANBURY, CT — State police on Tuesday said they have charged a Torrington man who was driving a vehicle that struck and killed a Brewster woman on Interstate-84 with manslaughter and drunken driving.
The crash took place on Dec. 22 and a report was issued by state police Tuesday.
State police said at about 5:30 p.m., a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 driven by 43-year-old Roger LeBlanc, of Torrington, was traveling in the eastbound left lane of I-84, just east of Exit 7, when he hit a woman who was on foot, according to a crash report.

She was identified as 53-year-old Susan Blaney of Brewster, NY, according to a crash report. She was killed as a result of the crash, according to a report.
The Chevy then evaded the scene, and was tracked down by state and Danbury police off Exit 8 at 100 Newtown Road, according to a crash report. A witness had followed the vehicle and called 911, according to a crash report.

LeBlanc was charged with driving under the influence, second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle and evading responsibility, according to a crash report.
