Mass Coronavirus Vaccination Site To Open At Danbury Fair Mall

The Danbury site, a six-lane drive-thru administering the Moderna vaccine, will be operated by Community Health Center, Inc.

DANBURY, CT — The first mass coronavirus vaccination site in the area, and only the fourth in the state, will open at the Danbury Fair Mall on Thursday.

The facility will be operated by Community Health Center, Inc., which operates clinics in Bristol, Enfield, Groton, Hartford, Madison, Meriden, Middletown, Milford, New Britain, New London, Old Saybrook, Waterbury and two each in Norwalk and Stamford. The Danbury site will be a six-lane drive-thru administering the Moderna vaccine.

Appointments for the vaccine must still be made through the state's online Vaccine Administration Management System, or scheduled by calling 877-918-2224 or 211.

Current eligible residents include anyone aged 55 and above, as well as health care personnel, medical first responders, preK-12 teachers, school staff, child care professionals and long-term care facility residents and staff. Beginning March 22, those 45 and over may receive the vaccine.
