For those located or traveling near Trumbull, Stratford of Bridgeport, a safe ride home is as near as your smart phone. Metro Taxi, Connecticut’s first taxi company to use Global Positioning System (GPS), makes it easy for New Year’s Eve revelers to get home safely.

How Does the Metro Cab App Work?

The app can be used on an iPhone or an Android and can be downloaded from the app store or Google Play. Search for “CT Metro Taxi,” and the logo will appear. Confirm via email, then create a user name to log in. Tap the icon and the message “locate me” will appear. Using GPS technology, the Metro Cab app will automatically locate you. The user will be prompted via a map-view screen to drop a pin button at their preferred pick-up location. Once confirmed by the customer, a trip request will be sent to Metro Taxi and the customer will be notified of the cab number en route to their pickup location.
