New Danbury Soccer Field to be Ready Mid-August
The artificial turf field will be multi-purpose.

A $1.3 million artificial turf field will be ready by mid-August, the News Times reports.
According to the paper, the city promised to build the field after a 13-acre property that was used by youths to play on was sold to Subway co-founder Peter Buck.
The field is being paid for with surplus funds from a school project that came under budget, the paper reports. The field is being built between Mill Ridge Primary School and Westside Middle School.
