OESP Names Dave Westerfield As A National Vice President

Dave started his career in 1983 as a fuel oil delivery driver and quickly found his calling as a service technician.

DANBURY, CT – June 4, 2020 - The National Association of Oil and Energy Service Professionals (OESP) has re-elected Dave Westerfield as a National Vice President for the 2020-22 term. Westerfield, of Danbury, CT, is pleased to continue his national role as Vice President, a position he has held since 2018. He currently serves as the Past President of OESP’s Fairfield County Chapter and also serves on the National Membership Committee.

“I am tremendously pleased to continue in my role as Vice President of the National
Board of OESP,” Westerfield said. “This leadership position provides me with more
opportunities to make sure our new and current technicians in the HVAC fields have the
tools they need to keep up with new technology and also fine tune their skills for career
advancement.

“The HVAC industry has changed so much in the past few years; it can sometimes be
hard to keep up with the changes,” he said. “Through organizations like OESP, we can all
network and keep up with current trends. The methods of getting information for new
products and training have changed in the past five years. Through OESP, we can all
work, learn, and share together through interactions that go far beyond the 'social
networks' that are established on our computers, tablets, and smart phones.”

Westerfield is the Operation & Service Manager for Jennings Oil & Propane in Danbury. Dave started his career in 1983 as a fuel oil delivery driver and quickly found his calling as a service technician.

Over the years, he has worked his way through the field as a Service Technician, Field
Foreman, and former Business Owner. He has been a Service Manager for the past 17
years. He is a licensed S1 Unlimited Heating & Cooling Contractor along with holding a
SM1 Sheet Metal license in Connecticut.

In addition, Westerfield holds numerous industry certifications in Heating, Cooling,
Piping, and the Building Performance Institute. In his free time, he is an avid
Motorcyclist and Golfer.
