Opioid Crisis Hits Home in Danbury (VIDEO)

The Mayor's Office, Danbury Schools, police and other groups have collaborated on a video about the misuse of opioids.

DANBURY, CT -- The mayor's office joined with local schools, police, civic and media organizations to produce a video they hope will educate the public regarding the opioid crisis.

Danbury Public Schools, Danbury Police Department, Danbury Emergency Services, Stand Together Make a Difference, Housatonic Valley Coalition Against Substance Abuse, MCCA and RMedia released the video on the misuse of opioids (below) at a press conference on Thursday.

“We need practical solutions to address the opioid problem and this video offers just that,” said Terry Budlong, MCCA Director of Prevention Services and Co-chair for Stand Together Make a Difference, in a release. “This video needs to be seen by Danbury residents.”
