Clergy and laypersons of all faiths are welcome to join their voices in music and hopeful prayers for peace.
DANBURY, Conn. -- An interfaith peace vigil for Ukraine and the world is set for Monday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, located at 164 Deer Hill Avenue in Danbury. The vigil is cosponsored by the church and the Association of Religious Communities.
“So many of us have desired to somehow help the people of Ukraine, and the people of Russia, who are also watching the wheels of war push their way into the lives of innocent people,” Rev. Pat Kriss, pastor of the First Congregational Church wrote on the church’s website.
“We urge the people of Danbury to unite their prayers and songs for peace with the rest of the world,” Rabbi Ari Rosenberg, executive director of the Association of Religious Communities (ARC).
