Police: 3 Danbury Men Arrested on Drug Charges
Two of the men were charged with possession of a controlled substance within 1500' of a school with intent to sell.

DANBURY, CT --- A weeks-long police investigation has led to the arrest of three Danbury men on multiple drug-related charges, the Danbury police said in a release.
The investigation, initiated after receiving citizen complaints related to illicit dealings, prompted the execution of search and seizure warrants for the person of Saul Mejias, 32, his car, a cellular telephone and his residence at 136 South St., apt. #1, in Danbury.
Police apprehended Mejias at approximately 10:00 a.m. on April 24 while he was parked in his car in a private parking lot. At the same time they arrested Roman Mota-Alvarez, 31, who resides at 58 Balmfourth Avenue in Danbury. Police determined the two were engaged in an illegal drug transaction in Mejias' car. Both men were taken into custody.

Police then proceeded to Mejias' South Street apartment for the purpose of executing the search warrant for the residence. Upon entering the apartment they encountered several adults who turned out to be residents and non-residents of the apartment. During this time, they came in contact with Felix Cordova-Molina , 43, who was found to be in possession of a substantial quantity of heroin packaged for sale, cocaine and more than $2,000. A further search of the residence uncovered drug packaging and a digital scale, both commonly associated with the processing of illegal drugs for sale. Cordova-Molina resides at the same South Street apartment.
Based on all findings, Saul Mejias, Felix Cordova-Molina and Roman Mota-Alvarez were all transported to the Danbury Police Department where they were charged and held for bond.

Both Mejias and Cordova-Molina were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance within 1500' of a school with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance within 1500’ of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia within 1500’ of a school. Mejias was also charged with possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana. Mota-Alvarez was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Mejias and Cordova-Molina are being held on $50,000 bonds each. Mota-Alvarez is being held on a $5,000 bond.
