Danbury Police Arrest Man for Possession of Assault Weapon
The man turned himself over to police on Monday evening.
DANBURY, CT — A Southbury man was arrested and charged with possession of an assault weapon and possession of large capacity magazines in Danbury last night.
Chad Jansen Ripley, 47, turned himself over into police custody around 7:15 p.m. on Monday. There had been a warrant out for his arrest, according to police.
Ripley was originally arrested as a result of a "domestic incident" in December of 2018, according to Lt. Mark Williams. That arrest did not involve firearms violations, Williams said.
