Police Investigating Shots Fired At Danbury Restaurant

Police say a fight broke out inside between two groups of people. The fight moved outside, where shots were fired, Danbury police said.

DANBURY, CT — Police are investigating a fight in a restaurant over the weekend where two gun shots were fired.

The Danbury Police Department responded to the report of a disturbance at Chili's Restaurant at 81 Newtown Road around 7:00 Saturday evening.

The police are reporting that the fracas between two groups of people began inside the restaurant, then moved outside, where one person drew a gun and fired the shots.

Several people fled before police arrived at the scene, according to their report. There were no injuries.

Police continue to investigate the incident, and urge anyone with more information to contact Det.
