Police: Man & Woman Shot Dead In Danbury Home
Danbury police discovered a man and woman unconscious on the floor of a basement bedroom, both with gunshot wounds to the head.
DANBURY, CT — Police found a man and a woman shot dead inside a Danbury residence Monday.
Danbury Police were sent on a wellbeing check to the Clayton Road home shortly after 3:00 p.m. The caller stated that family members had not seen or heard from two of the residents since Sunday, according to police.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered a man and woman unconscious on the floor of a basement bedroom, both with gunshot wounds to the head. Police called in Fire and EMS personnel, who declared both victims dead on the scene.

The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Police said they believe the shootings are part of an isolated incident, but the investigation remains active.
