Police Warn of Thieves in Danbury Commuter Lots

DANBURY, CT — State police are warning motorists parking in commuter lots to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.

A Honda Civic was stripped of its tires and rims while parked in the Interstate 84 exit 1 commuter lot on Mill Plain Road.

"It seems the commuter lots are being targeted by thieves, who are stealing tires/rims off of parked vehicles. Make sure to contact the police if you see anything that warrants a closer look," Troop 'A' posted on social media.

According to the CT Department of Transportation, there are six Park & Ride locations in Danbury.
