Real Housewives Star Teresa Giudice to Serve Prison Sentence in Danbury
Teresa Giudice is expected to surrender to the prison on Jan. 5 and will begin her 15-month sentence.

“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice will be serving her sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury.
Guidice was sentenced to a 15-month prison sentence after she and her husband Joe Giudice were sentenced for mortgage and bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy, according to US Weekly.
The hit Netflix show Orange is the New Black is based on the Danbury prison.

A judge declined Giudice’s request to serve her sentence at a halfway house, according to NJ.com.

Giudice is scheduled to surrender to prison authorities on Jan. 5, 2015. Once her sentence concludes her husband will start his 41-month prison sentence. The sentencing was structured so that one parent would be home with their children.
Joe Giudice also faces possible deportation because he is not a U.S. citizen.
FCI Danbury is a low security federal prison with an adjacent camp. It houses both male and female offenders and both locations have a total inmate population of 1,012, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
The couple spoke about their legal and personal woes on Bravo.
