Reward For ATV Driver Police Say Killed Danbury Dog
The family of Dusty, the dog police say was killed by an ATV when hit by an ATV, are offering a reward for info about the driver.
DANBURY, CT — The owners of a dog who police say was struck and killed by a hit-and-run all-terrain vehicle have raised over $6,000 as a reward for information leading to the driver's identification.
The owners, the O'Rourke family of Jackson Drive in Danbury, originally offered $500 for the reward, but "so many people in the community have asked if they can donate to increase the reward amount," they began a GoFundMe drive online.
Police say the driver of the "quad" ATV struck and killed Dusty, a four-year-old husky-lab mix, in the O'Rourke family's front yard before leaving the scene shortly before 8:00 p.m. on Feb. 12.
