Santos was elected to represent the 109th state House District last November.

DANBURY, CT — State Rep. Farley Santos has resigned from the Danbury City Council, effective with the conclusion of Thursday night's meeting.
Santos, 33, was elected to represent the 109th state House District last November, and was sworn into that role on Jan. 4.
A former member of the Danbury School Board, Santos resigned from that body when he was appointed to fill a City Council vacancy in March 2019.

In a letter addressed to City Council president Vinny DiGilio and town clerk Janice Giegler, Santos called his four years on the Council "the honor of a lifetime:"
"My hope is that I have made a positive impact as City Councilman. I know I have fought for what is right for every resident of the City of Danbury. I resign this post knowing that the 4th Ward is well represented by Councilman Joe Britton, and I am relieved to know that a capable and meritorious replacement is ready to discharge the duties of 4th Ward Councilperson. I am incredibly proud to continue my service to the city I love as State Representative for the 109th district."
