See Where Danbury Ranked Among Connecticut's Best Places To Live
The city was listed in a new U.S. News & World Report ranking.
DANBURY, CT — Danbury was ranked the fifth best place to live in Connecticut in a new ranking released by U.S. News & World Report.
The publication placed Danbury behind West Hartford, Norwalk, Stamford and Greenwich on its list of the state's best places to live.
According to U.S. News, Danbury received an overall score of 4.8 out of 10. The city has a population of about 87,000 residents, a median home value of $417,303 and a median household income of $91,100.

Mayor Roberto Alves celebrated the ranking in a social media post Wednesday.
"I'm incredibly proud to see Danbury ranked as the fifth best place to live in Connecticut by U.S. News & World Report," Alves said. "This recognition reflects the hard work of our residents, businesses, educators, first responders, city employees and community partners who make Danbury such a special place to call home."

Alves said the ranking highlights the city's ongoing investments in infrastructure, public safety, parks and economic development.
"While this ranking is something to celebrate, it's also a reminder that our work continues," Alves said. "Together, we're proving that Danbury is certainly one of Connecticut's best places to live."
The rankings were compiled by U.S. News & World Report using factors including quality of life, value, desirability and job market strength.
