Danbury Police have blocked off White Street due to an emergency situation in front of the college.

Several WestConn students stated that the reason for Friday’s evacuation was due to a bomb threat. The reports of the bomb threat are unconfirmed and WestConn officials could not be reached for comment. A representative of the school stated that they would release information as soon as the situation is under control.

A daycare that is located across from the college campus is currently on lock down, but all kids are safe, according to Susan (declined to give last name), of Hats off to Kids Daycare.
