Shake Shack Coming To Danbury Fair Mall

DANBURY, CT — The fast-casual burger restaurant Shake Shack is coming to the Danbury Fair mall, CTInsider is reporting.

The New York-based chain boasts their burgers are made from 100 percent all-natural Angus beef, and is also known for its crinkle-cut fries, and, of course, milk shakes. In Connecticut, the company currently has restaurants in Darien, West Hartford, New Haven and Westport.

The Danbury Planning Commission held a hearing in December during which applications from both Shake Shack and Longhorn Steakhouse were reviewed. WLAD reported that, if approved, both franchises would be housed in a new building to be constructed in the Backus Avenue lot used in the past to host a carnival.

There's no word yet on any opening date.
