Sing Handel's Messiah with the Danbury Concert Chorus

The Danbury Music Centre announces that the Danbury Concert Chorus will begin rehearsals for Handel's oratorio, Messiah on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 7:30 pm. Singers aged high school and up are welcome to join the Danbury Concert Chorus to sing Handel's masterpiece.

Since 1956, Danbury Music Centre has been presenting Handel’s Messiah for the greater Danbury community. This annual performance in December, of the Danbury Concert Chorus and chamber orchestra, comprised of musicians from the Danbury Symphony Orchestra and professional soloists has become a beloved holiday tradition for performers and audiences alike.

On December 3, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the First Congregational Church of Danbury, the chorus returns to its first in-person performance of this work since the beginning of the pandemic.

Christine Howlett, former Danbury Concert Chorus Music Director & Conductor will return this year as guest conductor.
