Speaker to Talk about 3rd stage of Life

Rabbi Richard Address to talk about Sacred Jewish Aging

Rabbi Richard Address will be visiting Danbury and the United Jewish Center to talk about Sacred Jewish Aging. Rabbi Address is the Founder and Director of the Union of Reform Judaism's (URJ) Department of Jewish Family Concerns and served as a specialist and consultant for the North American Reform Movement in the areas of family related programming. Rabbi Address was ordained from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 1972 and began his rabbinic career in Los Angeles congregations. He also served as a part time rabbi for Beth Hillel in Carmel, NJ while regional director and, after his URJ tenure, served as senior rabbi of Congregation M’kor Shalom in Cherry Hill, NJ from 2011-2014.

He is visiting the United Jewish Center, 141 Deer Hill Avenue as the guest for the Scholar-In-Residence program March 8th and 9th at the synagogue. He will be speaking three times. There will be a Shabbat Dinner (with a small fee and RSVP needed), Shabbat evening services, Shabbat morning services and a Shabbat luncheon (with a small fee and RSVP needed).
