Still Missing: Police Expand Efforts In Search For Danbury Man
When Danbury police found the car of missing Danbury man Carlos Reyes engulfed in flames, it was unoccupied.
DANBURY, CT — Police are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of a Danbury man.
Carlos Reyes, 20, was reported missing by his family on Mar. 31, He was last seen by his family on Mar. 28 at approximately 11:00 p.m. A DoorDash driver and a driver for hire, Reyes was known to frequent Danbury, Waterbury, and Naugatuck, according to police.
When Reyes was reported missing, police received information that his 2008 gray 4 door Infiniti sedan was located in Brewster, NY. Police found the car before midnight on March 29, fully engulfed in flames. Investigators found the extinguished car to be unoccupied. Working with the NY State Police, a search of the surrounding area revealed no signs of Reyes, according to a statement from the Danbury Police Department.

Police executed a search warrant at Reyes' Ball Pond Road home on Thursday, as they continued to look for possible evidence or clues. Investigators collected surveillance footage and evidence associated with Reyes, and continue to work with his family and other sources to obtain further information, according to Det. Lt. Adam Marcus of the Danbury PD.
Reyes is described as being 5-foot 10-inches tall, 170 lbs., fit build, brown eyes, brown hair and facial hair, no tattoos, and has piercings in both ears. When last seen, Reyes was wearing black sweatpants, a black sweater, and red "Uggs" slippers. He regularly wears three gold chains around his neck, each having a gold pendant.
