Teens Accused of Impersonating Danbury Teacher on Social Media
The two former Danbury High students were seniors at the time of the incident.
Two former Danbury High School students are facing harassment charges after police say they portrayed a Danbury High teacher in a defamatory manner on Twitter.
Police received a complaint from the teacher on Feb. 20 when she was made aware of an active Twitter account that was using her photograph and name, portraying the account as hers. Police said the account portrayed the teacher in a defamatory manner.
The Danbury Police Department investigated the allegation.

“Throughout the investigation numerous court ordered search warrants were issued and interviews were conducted, “ police said.
According to police, the investigation found that two former Danbury High School students who were seniors at the time were responsible for the incident.

Nikolas Brito, 18, of Danbury turned himself in on July 29. He was charged with conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation and second-degree conspiracy to commit harassment.
He was released on a written promise to appear in court on Aug. 18.
Mikayla Ramos, 18, also turned herself in on July 29. She was charged with conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation and second-degree conspiracy to commit harassment and false statement. She was released on a written promise to appear in court on Aug. 18.
