Teens Arrested On Gun Charges After Dust-Up In Danbury Park
Two teens are facing firearms charges after police apprehended them following a fight at Rogers Park in Danbury.
DANBURY, CT — Two teens are facing firearms charges after police apprehended them following a fight at Rogers Park.
Around 4 p.m. on April 17, Danbury officers were dispatched to the area of Lions Way for a report of a suspicious person who was possibly in possession of a firearm.
Upon their arrival, police were informed by witnesses that three males were involved in a physical altercation near the Rogers Park soccer field. Officers canvassed the area and apprehended two suspects who matched the witnesses' description, according to police spokesperson Erin Henry.

One of the suspects, Frailyn Nunez, 18, was in possession of a firearm.
Frailyn Nunez, 18, is facing charges of carrying a pistol without a permit, second degree breach of peace, and possession of a weapon on school grounds. The second suspect, a juvenile, was also arrested and charged with second degree assault and breach of peace.

"It should be noted that the arrest did not happen on school property, rather the soccer field behind the school. However, Nunez was charged with possession of a weapon on school property because he did walk across the school playground to get to the soccer field. School was not in session last week," Henry said.
