This past Saturday, December 18, the Danbury Volunteer Firefighters loaded their trucks with toys, games, and other items and headed to make their delivery to Family & Children's Aid. The drop-off began with a procession of fire trucks and ended with over 50 bags of new toys donated. The firefighter's Stuff-A-Truck event has become an annual tradition, and each year they collect items in Danbury Square every Friday in December leading up to Christmas.

The recipient of these items, Family & Children’s Aid, is a youth-focused nonprofit organization offering high quality, innovative behavioral and emotional health care for children and their families. They serve over 6,000 individuals annually through their Behavioral Health Center, Foster Care Services, and other programs. The toys donated will be used for the next year in their reward center, where kids can pick an item when they meet their therapeutic goals.

FCA would like to give a special thank you to those who made the Stuff-A-Truck event possible this year, and wish everyone involved a happy holiday season.
