Threat Letter Costs Taxpayers, Businesses Thousands: New Milford Police

BREAKING: Police have an arrest warrant out for the suspect (pictured) who is known to frequent Danbury.

NEW MILFORD, CT — The New Milford Police Department has an active arrest warrant out for a man who allegedly mailed a threatening letter to random citizens of New Milford and surrounding areas, which led to the loss of thousands of dollars.

Police announced via Facebook Wednesday that the department has an arrest warrant for Sixto Guerra, 26, also known as Eliel Lemus. Guerra's address in not known. Police say Guerra perpetrated the letter, which was taken as credible and cost taxpayers and businesses thousands.

Police say Guerra is known to frequent Danbury and the New York area, and drives a 2003 Dodge Neon with New York registration GZM2451. Anyone with information should contact the New Milford Police Department's Anonymous TIPS line at 860-355-2000, or email/text to TIPS@newmilfordpolice.org.
