Town of New Fairfield honors Housatonic Habitat Volunteers Ernie and Gail Lehman as Outstanding Seniors of the Year
New Fairfield Seniors recognized as Volunteers of the Year

Ernie and Gail Lehman have been volunteers at Housatonic Habitat for Humanity for many years. Ernie has helped to build all but the very first home built or renovated by Housatonic Habitat. He was also named the Housatonic Habitat Volunteer of the Year in 2013. Gail has been involved with the Family Partnership committee for over two decades. The dynamic duo has been involved in many other aspects of our work where we help provide affordable housing for working families. Their support has helped us in many ways too numerous to mention. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the couple was just named Outstanding Seniors of the Year by the Town of New Fairfield’s Commission on Aging. See the News Times article linked here to learn more about their volunteer efforts and the award.
Seniors and all volunteers for Housatonic Habitat for Humanity are welcome. Contact Housatonic Habitat at info@housatonichabitat.org or call 203-744-1340 to volunteer. See our website: www.HousatonicHabitat.org.
