NEW FAIRFIELD, CT — A section of Route 39 was shut down on Sunday following an accident that left a truck overturned and leaking oil.

Crews from the New Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched around 8:05 a.m. to the accident in front of ICONS Sports Bar & Grill. The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was contacted and responded as well.

The truck was turned upright with the help of two rotators from Modzelewski’s Towing & Storage.
