UConn Championship Watch Parties Planned In Danbury, Other CT Locations

DANBURY, CT — Several Connecticut venues are hosting watch parties Monday night as the UConn men's basketball team takes the court for the national championship.

Elicit Brewing Company and Eli’s Restaurant Group will host watch parties at multiple venues as the Huskies take on Michigan, with tipoff scheduled for 8:50 p.m.

In Danbury, fans can gather at Elicit Brewing Company at 15 Backus Ave. to watch the game. Additional Elicit locations in Fairfield and Manchester will also have watch parties.

Watch parties are also planned at Eli’s on Whitney in Hamden and Eli’s Branford, according to organizers.

Officials said the venues will feature large-screen viewing setups.

At the Manchester location, which is closest to UConn’s campus, organizers said guests can expect themed elements including a “Bleed Blue” cocktail — a vodka lemonade drink — as well as a “Lucky Husky” tradition involving packs of eight blue M&M’s tied to a team superstition.
