Unconscious Danbury Man Found Behind Wheel of Running Car: Police
Police say the car was found stopped in the middle of Silversmith Drive.

DANBURY, CT — A Danbury man is facing a DUI charge after he was found unconscious behind the wheel of a running car on Silversmith Drive Saturday morning, according to police.
Police say that an officer was dispatched to Silversmith Drive at approximately 4:53 a.m. Saturday to check on the wellbeing of an unconscious driver. A passerby had told police that a black sedan was stopped in the middle of the street with an unconscious driver.
The officer found the vehicle still running, and awoke the driver Carlos G. Valenzuela, 33, while he was turning off the vehicle. Police say that Valenzuela had failed field sobriety tests and was placed into custody.

Valenzuela was charged operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. He was released on a $5oo bond, and is set to appear in court on Feb. 27.
