Union Savings Bank Offers Free Shredding June 25

Danbury-based Union Savings Bank will host a free community shred day on June 25, giving people a chance to safely shred documents at no cost.

Union Savings Bank is offering people a chance to safely and securely shred their documents for free in three locations around the state, including the Danbury branch at 126 North St.

Union Savings Bank, established in 1866, is a $2.5 billion mutual fund with a full range of banking options, including banking, mortgages, investment, trust and insurance products through 28 offices in Western Connecticut and as far east as Canton.

People who have documents to shred can bring those documents to 126 North St. from 9 a.m. to noon June 25 to be shredded safely and securely. The bank is doing this with Shred It Connecticut, and when a person's turn comes, they can watch their paper being shredded to make sure they were destroyed. People can arrive with up to 10 boxes of paper to shred.
