Volunteers Needed For Habitat ReStore Anniversary Event
50 Volunteers Needed To Help With Planning and Activities

Danbury, CT – 04/15/19 – Housatonic Habitat for Humanity is seeking volunteers for its 10th anniversary event to celebrate the growth of its thrift warehouse operations; the event will be held 10am-4pm on Saturday, June 1, at the ReStore Warehouse at 51 Austin Street, Danbury.
The Customer Appreciation Event will include a sale of ReStore merchandise, live music throughout the day, free smoke detectors from the American Red Cross, and special children’s programming by Microsoft and Bach to Rock. Habitat is seeking 50 volunteers to help with marketing, planning, and activities throughout the day. Volunteers must be at least in the sixth grade; they will work in set up, games, prizes and sales. Businesses and groups can also sponsor the event.
Housatonic Habitat for Humanity is both a builder and a bank, building affordable homes for working families who might not qualify for a traditional mortgage. In addition, Housatonic Habitat provides home repairs for homeowners who are aging in place.
