12/25 Danbury Alert: A water main break occurred on Sand Pit Road in the late evening hours of 12/24 impacting a large portion of east Danbury. Out of an abundance of caution, the Danbury Public Utilities Department is advising impacted customers in the low-service area to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes. If you believe you were impacted, please see the attached map to confirm if you are in the low-service area.

Drinking water is available for pick-up at 36 Germantown Road - Danbury Volunteer Fire Battalion 31.

Water samples will be collected after the repair is made. We anticipate receiving sample results confirming that the water can be used for drinking 24 hours after the sample is collected.

We will inform you as soon as the boil water advisory is lifted.

For more information, call Danbury Public Utilities at 203-797-4539 or the 24-hour emergency number at the West Lake Water Treatment Plant at 203-797-4615.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
