WCDNF holds Roger’s Park Middle School Meal Train Program Event
Womans Club of Danbury/New Fairfield (WCDNF) holds fundraiser.

Members and friends of The Woman’s Club of Danbury/New Fairfield attended a silent auction
at Anthony’s Lake Club on Friday, June 18 in support of the Rogers Park Middle School Meal
Train Program. Also in attendance was Dean Esposito, Chief of Staff of the Danbury Mayor’s
Office, Kristy Zeleta, Principal of Rogers Park Middle School and many of its staff and families.
All the items that were auctioned were donated by members of the club and businesses in
Danbury and surrounding towns. They included gift certificates to restaurants, hair salons and
Spas, golf courses, and several area retail businesses. Other items included two week vacations
in members’ second homes in Florida and Maine, homemade quilts, quilted wall hangings, and
hand woven scarves made by members. Several businesses in the Tri-State Area sponsored
tables. The event was planned over a period of eighteen months by the club’s Community
Improvement Program Committee (CIP) and raised over $11,000.00. All the proceeds will be
given to support the school’s Meal Train Program. The CIP committee wants to thank all those
who donated to the success of this event and is pleased to be able to support the children and families of Rogers Park Middle School through this program.
