WCDNF New Officers for 2016-2017

At the September meeting of the Women's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield the new officers for 2016-2017 were presented to the membership. President Kathy Matusiak ( New Milford) will lead the club throughout these years with Ginny Chulkovs (New Milford) as her First Vice President in charge of Membership. Carol Singer (Danbury) will be Second Vice President and is the Dean of Community Service Programs. Mary Ellen Ryer (Danbury) is the Third Vice President and Chairperson of the Philanthropic Committee. Carol Sanger (Danbury) is Corrosponding Secretary. Barbara Roos (Danbury) (not in the picture) is Recording Secretary who keeps minutes of General Meeting and the Executive Committee. Patty Beirne (Danbury) is Treasurer. Joanne Masi(New Fairfield) and Joanne Pirrone(Danbury) are Second Treasurers and Chairpersons of the Ways and Means Committee and will handle the Poinsettia Fundraiser.

The Women's Club meets nine months of the year. Their Philanthropic endeavors allow them to provide scholarships to students from five local high schools as well as donating money to community projects. The club has been in existence since 1982 when it was founded by twenty civic minded charter members.
