Where To Find The Cheapest Gas Prices In Danbury As Prices Fall

DANBURY, CT — Drivers looking for the cheapest gas prices in Danbury can find regular gasoline for less than $4 a gallon at several local stations, according to recent price reports, as Connecticut and national averages continue to drop.

The lowest reported prices were $3.89 a gallon at The RoadRunners on White Street and CITGO on West Street, followed by CITGO on Newtown Road at $3.91 and several stations reporting prices between $3.93 and $3.99.

The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Connecticut was $4.22 on Thursday, according to AAA. That is down about 5 cents from $4.27 a week ago and about 23 cents from $4.45 a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the state average was $3.04, drivers are paying about $1.18 more per gallon.

The Connecticut average was about 12 cents higher than the national average of $4.10 a gallon for regular gasoline, according to AAA.

The latest weekly data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, released Nov. 3 and reflecting prices as of Nov. 2, put the national average at $4.15 a gallon, down about 12 cents from $4.27 the previous week.

The EIA does not track Connecticut prices individually. It reports them as part of its New England region, where regular gasoline averaged $4.15 a gallon as of Nov. 2, down about 5 cents from the week before.

In Danbury, the 24 stations with available price reports averaged approximately $4.19 a gallon for regular gasoline. That is about 3 cents below the latest Connecticut average of $4.22 from AAA. Another 10 Danbury stations had no available regular price report.

The local figure reflects only stations with reported prices and is not an official citywide average.
