Woman, 20, Shot at Danbury Residence, Police Seek Help Identifying Assailants
Police are seeking the help of any witnesses or those with information.

Police are seeking the public’s help after a 20-year-old woman was shot in the stomach at a Danbury residence.
According to police, officers responded to Town Hill Avenue for a disturbance on May 8 around 12:25 p.m.. Officers arrived to find the 20-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.
A 21-year-old male victim told officers he was shutting the entrance door to the common hallway that leads to his apartment when two males forced their way in and began beating him, police said. The female victim heard the fight and exited the bedroom grabbing a katanah sword to help the male victim.

The two male assailants then began to retreat.
The victims told police that as one of the assailants was exiting he turned around and fired one shot in their direction that hit the female in the stomach, police said.

The female victim was transported to Danbury Hospital and treated.
